The project faces the problem of water supply for the islands of Corfu and Paxos with total management of aquatic resources, so with the suitable treatment, storage and management of available resources are served so much the permanent population what the population of tourists of two islands with potable water of guaranteed quality according to the most modern models.

The design includes: embankment dams reservoirs, water treatment plant , pumping stations
with installed capacities of 2200 kW, 1000 kW, 800 kW, 135 kW and 90 kW plus smaller in-line booster pumping stations.

For the island of Paxoi a seawater desalination plant with a capacity of 540 m³/day has been provided.
